White/Peterman Properties, Inc. (“WPPI”) was founded in 2007 and has been successfully developing Class A apartments and limited service hotels throughout the United States. The WPPI team has been in the real estate development industry since 1968 when Whiteco Industries, Inc. opened the first Holiday Inn franchise in Merrillville, Indiana. Since that time, it has gone on to successfully develop more than 100 hotels and over 6,000 multifamily apartment units throughout the United States.

On average, the team’s senior executives have 20+ years experience in the industry. This experience has allowed it to develop a large network of professional relationships in the real estate industry along with a vast network of capital markets access.

The team’s entry into the apartment industry took place in 1998 via a joint where it developed Class A multifamily apartment projects in select, high barrier to entry markets across the country. Whiteco subsequently bought out the joint venture partner and went on to develop a portfolio of over 6,000 multifamily units located in over nine states.

Hotel development is another area of focus for WPPI. It primarily develops Hilton and Marriott hotels. WPPI’s strategy in developing hotels is to seek urban in-fill locations that are located near high density office and/or convention centers. Three of its hotel projects are located at or adjacent to convention centers. These hotels include the Tampa Convention Center Embassy Suites, Marriott Springhill Suites at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Denver Convention Center Hilton Embassy Suites. Most recently, the full service Marriott Bellevue and the AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown were completed in Bellevue, Washington.
